Aside from a few other liberal hell hole cities you’d never experience anything like this in the rest of the country. It’s a palpable feeling to me, and I’m sure other people feel it too. SF from just about everywhere, and are completely inept at maneuvering the streets because they are unfamiliar) taking up valuable street space sitting in the lane with hazards on, there wasn’t entire bike racks stolen by scooters so that you had nowhere to park your bike.

  This really sucks, I’ve been there more than I’d like to admit. Curious why you didn’t just pay your registration though...your lack of a permanent address is kinda irrelevant. No matter what, the Jeep is still registered to your previous/current address. It’s not like the registered address just goes blank if you don’t pay your tags. Regarding smog, they give you a month to get a smog test once you pay the fees, and temporary tags until then. The DMV Registration tags expiring, that's on him. He can't blame the city, state, etc. for that. Renewing registration is key, because if any minor incident happens, you're facing serious problems -- which was the root of origin of the problems here (the stamp was a little coincidental bad luck).  I once had my car stolen by the city, back in the old city tow days when it wasn't administered directly by the city. Car was stolen from a legit parking spot. During the tow, they broke the fuel line. So not only did I have to pay $400 (1996 dollars) to get it out, I had to pay for a tow truck to haul out my now-broken car. PITA. A good idea. Someone should definitely take that on. I'm surprised no one has brought up that Bobby Lee thing. I remember in an episode of Tiger Belly that exact thing happened. They were named by multiple people in accusations, including by one here on Reddit. They were allegedly hitting people up for D’elia.
