You can easily counter warden with smokes by using IQ. She is picked most of rounds at gold-pro level so it wudnt be so hard to counter warden. She can literally headshot him through wall or prefire around corner whenever warden decides to smoke a door and peek it. Warden is not bad operator. He is a situational counter pick. Theres over 50 operators and 5 spots available. You are going to see more and more niche operators fill in the gaps of the gameplay mechanics as time goes on. Impact blue smokes because in attacking you choose when you peek and have time, but on defending the attackers will peek you. I always felt a charge system would be best. Like 3 charges on a refresh. When a flash goes off it eats one of the charges, no need to press anything it just happens. You can choose to activate a charge instantly to let you see through smoke for a couple seconds. Won't this result in the same gameplay loop they wanted to get away from with Glaz? "The smoke is up, I need to just hide." Having counters to this sort of dead-stop gameplay loop isn't enough. The loop itself is the issue, it's not fun to interact with. I think this is problematic from an attacker communication perspective- so far, defender effects and attacker effects are entirely separate, i.e., attackers and defenders have entirely unique sets of equipment.
