People need people. Thats just how we were made. Our impending mental health crisis is going to be because of the extreme measures we didn't really have to take, or because people can't just handle hanging out with 2--3 friends; no, they need a lake party. But let's not jump all over someone for wanting to see their parents or someone they are dating. NOT seeing them is way more unhealthy than the "stay inside your studio apartment for 2 years and don't come out" comments I'm seeing on here, though I think some people in Seattle just do that anyway.  I can only do calls over zoom. Mental health is always looked down upon and it’s sad that even though it’s clearly a crisis now, people still aren’t taking it seriously.

That's not a good way to feel, there are other options, I hope you consider looking up one. I had an appointment scheduled for the 24th but something else came up. I've cared to so little the past 4 months I have just been wearing a ponytail everyday, now matching my scrunchies to my facemasks to match my shirts. It's really become less a matter of fear of getting cut and realizing how much easier this is. It's not a good idea. It's an option, but it's still a bad idea. You just shouldn't. A haircut is not necessary. I'm taking this forced hiatus from haircuts to experiment, anyway, see how my hair looks if I grow it out. Or just cut your own hair and don't trim it to the exact length you want so your hair stylist can fix it for you someday. I'd imagine it's a lot of people who'd be spending most of their time "social distancing" and playing armchair authoritarian over the Internet anyway who are glad to now have a convenient excuse to do just that in the name of the moral high ground. I’m so tired of these self-righteous false binaries. We’re actually talking about a complex, highly dynamic set of forces—health, economic, social, educational, etc.—acting on each other whether we shut down or not. Pretending it’s a pure matter of altruism/self-sacrifice vs hedonism/selfishness just sounds simpleminded, not noble. But there’s so many other complications of another lockdown that are just as important. This neurologist was an old school Ukrainian lady. Her and her assistant who was a probably mid 30s white guy just straight did not believe me that I had a seizure several hours after stopping drinking. They were convinced that it can only happen 3-7 days after quitting, so they had me on keppra for a year and I wasn't allowed to drive for a year. Even though my eeg and extended eeg showed nothing. Almost wish I would of had a seizure during the extended eeg just to prove them wrong but for once I successfully tapered before that 36 hour scan. He of course knew about my alcoholism and knew how dangerous WDs can be but he wanted me to see a neurologist anyways and have a eeg done.
