Years ago at a City tow auction I witnessed a group of young cops that looked like they might work in vice in street clothes, apparently waiting for a nice Mustang convertible. they ended up getting it. It might be legal but it seemed pretty shady. On another note the company that had the contract a long time ago was based at 16th and Potrero where the shopping center is. They used to display their worst wrecks in a macbre display out in front (think cars torn in two, or engine in the back seat). IIRC they lost the contract because of the constant stealing from towed cars. If a resident of SF's vehicle is stolen in SF, reported as stolen to SFPD, and recovered in SF, the owner of said vehicle will get an impound fee waver. If a non-resident's vehicle is stolen it's like $100. For people who are low income (food stamps, medical, other criteria) there's also a free waiver.

  This really sucks, I’ve been there more than I’d like to admit. Curious why you didn’t just pay your registration though...your lack of a permanent address is kinda irrelevant. No matter what, the Jeep is still registered to your previous/current address. It’s not like the registered address just goes blank if you don’t pay your tags. Regarding smog, they give you a month to get a smog test once you pay the fees, and temporary tags until then. The DMV Registration tags expiring, that's on him. He can't blame the city, state, etc. for that. Renewing registration is key, because if any minor incident happens, you're facing serious problems -- which was the root of origin of the problems here (the stamp was a little coincidental bad luck).  I once had my car stolen by the city, back in the old city tow days when it wasn't administered directly by the city. Car was stolen from a legit parking spot. During the tow, they broke the fuel line. So not only did I have to pay $400 (1996 dollars) to get it out, I had to pay for a tow truck to haul out my now-broken car. PITA. A good idea. Someone should definitely take that on. I'm surprised no one has brought up that Bobby Lee thing. I remember in an episode of Tiger Belly that exact thing happened. Bobby was talking about him leaving the Comedy Store with some girl and he shushed him a bit.  Here's one of Theo Von and Andrew Santino that's been circulating. They've got a bit to say about Chris and his relationship with Callen and Schaub earlier in the episode.They begin to talk more specifically about Chris and women at 8:20. Frankly, I think the most interesting comments will come from no name comedians Mark Hayes and Michael Lenoci. They were named by multiple people in accusations, including by one here on Reddit. They were allegedly hitting people up for D’elia.
