This neurologist was an old school Ukrainian lady. Her and her assistant who was a probably mid 30s white guy just straight did not believe me that I had a seizure several hours after stopping drinking. They were convinced that it can only happen 3-7 days after quitting, so they had me on keppra for a year and I wasn't allowed to drive for a year. Even though my eeg and extended eeg showed nothing. Almost wish I would of had a seizure during the extended eeg just to prove them wrong but for once I successfully tapered before that 36 hour scan. He of course knew about my alcoholism and knew how dangerous WDs can be but he wanted me to see a neurologist anyways and have a eeg done.

The DMV Registration tags expiring, that's on him. He can't blame the city, state, etc. for that. Renewing registration is key, because if any minor incident happens, you're facing serious problems -- which was the root of origin of the problems here (the stamp was a little coincidental bad luck).  I once had my car stolen by the city, back in the old city tow days when it wasn't administered directly by the city. Car was stolen from a legit parking spot. During the tow, they broke the fuel line. So not only did I have to pay $400 (1996 dollars) to get it out, I had to pay for a tow truck to haul out my now-broken car. PITA. I'd imagine it's a lot of people who'd be spending most of their time "social distancing" and playing armchair authoritarian over the Internet anyway who are glad to now have a convenient excuse to do just that in the name of the moral high ground. I’m so tired of these self-righteous false binaries. We’re actually talking about a complex, highly dynamic set of forces—health, economic, social, educational, etc.—acting on each other whether we shut down or not. Pretending it’s a pure matter of altruism/self-sacrifice vs hedonism/selfishness just sounds simpleminded, not noble. But there’s so many other complications of another lockdown that are just as important.
